"We have a large, rounded staircase in our house and the Helix has been a perfect fit for our situation. Since my mother-in-law moved in, my husband & myself are able to independently bring her up and down the stairs."

Family Member

"Works like a dream - used to lift my mom with a two-man lift chair upstairs...not fun...now with the motorized chair, I strap her in, lean the tracks against the stair and let it climb with me just holding the handle and pressing the power button. It walks down just easy. So easy, my 16 year old used it with me strapped in...great piece of equipment."

"I'm an EMS Coordinator for a company who recently purchased this stair lift. It is incredible, it's so much safer for our patients as well as back saving for our EMT's. I would 100% recommend this lift. It was also very easy to use and very easy to train my guys and girls on. We all love it!"

Helix Mobile Stairlift - Minor Cosmetic Defects FAQs

What are the most common benefits/cons of The Helix Mobile Stairlift vs. the others?

The Helix has a lot going for it. No installation is needed, so you can skip the hassle and expense of stair tracks. It’s ready to use right out of the box — just charge the battery, and you're set. Plus, it's much more affordable than traditional stairlifts.

One of its best features is that it’s the only "Car-To-Bed" solution on the market. It lets you transport the rider from the car straight to bed without unbuckling the safety belt. And it’s super portable, folding up to fit in most car trunks.

How many people are needed to operate the Helix Mobile Stairlift?

Most caregivers can operate the Helix on their own with a rider. However, for added safety, we recommend having two people—one handling the chair from the handlebars and another positioned below the rider.

Are there any specific requirements for someone to operate this mobile stairlift?

Yes, the operator should be in good physical health and comfortable carrying weight up flights of stairs. A good measure of strength is whether the operator can support the weight of the rider while tilted back in a chair.

With what staircases does the Helix work best?

The Helix is specifically designed for curved staircases, making it an excellent choice for winding and other unique-shaped staircases. It also works well on pie-shaped stairs and 90-degree turns.

What floor types does the Helix Stairlift work on?

This stairlift works on a variety of floor types, including cement, wood, and iron stairs. It’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It can also be used on carpeted stairs, but only if the carpet is fully attached to the stairs. It might slip under the tracks if it's a throw or a runner.

How long will the battery last? Can I buy replacement batteries?

The chair’s powerful lithium-ion battery will last up to 3 years when used and properly maintained in a home or residential setting.

To get the most from your battery, ensure it doesn’t go too long on an empty charge. Ideally, the battery should be fully charged at least once a month every three months.

And yes, you can buy replacement batteries whenever you need them!

Can I finance the Helix Stairlift?

Absolutely! With our Buy Now, Pay Later option through Affirm, you can spread interest-free payments over 3, 6, or 12 months. For example, a $1,000 purchase would only be $83.33 per month for 12 months. The sign-up process is quick, and you'll get an instant decision without affecting your credit score.

For more information, please visit our flexible financing page.

Do you rent the chairs?

No, we do not rent the chairs currently.

What is your warranty policy?

We offer a lifetime warranty on your stairlift’s welds for any manufacturing defects. We also provide a 6-month warranty on all other components, as well as an extended warranty. We're here to ensure your peace of mind with your purchase.

Is it really 7 day money back trial? Who pays for return shipping? How much?

Yes, total money refund when you return the chair to us.

You may have to pay the return shipping, as we already pay the original shipping to you.

Please keep the original packaging materials throughout your trial period, as we cannot accept any return without it's original box and packaging protection.

Do you offer wholesale pricing for DME shops?

Yes we do, please email or call us for more details.

Do you accept insurance?

Currently, we don't accept insurance, but we're working on it and hope to offer this option soon. We suggest you contact your insurance company, as some may offer reimbursement programs.

What are the exact dimensions of the Helix?

The stairlift has dimensions of 32” long, 20” wide, and 40” high when in use. When folded, it measures 13” long, 20” wide, and 40” high, making it easy to store. The handle can extend to a height of 63”, with the lower handle extending to 31” in length.

This makes it versatile and practical for most staircases.

Does the Helix come fully assembled?

Yes! All of our products, including this chair, come fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box.

What is the seat height?

20" - For easy transitioning from an average chair.

How long does it take to ship the Helix?

In the United States, the Helix usually arrives within 2 to 5 business days with expedited shipping available. If you’re outside the U.S., just reach out to us, and we’ll give you an accurate estimate for your location.

What are the most common benefits/cons of the MSL Helix vs. the others?

  • Round Staircases

Very few stairlifts exist for spiral staircases. This model is made specifically for spiral stairs, meaning you’ll have access to every floor of your home.

  • Installation

With the Helix, there is no installation process. You can use this on virtually any spiral staircase to safely and securely transport an individual in an emergency situation.

  • Timing

Ready to use out of the box, so you don't have to wait for weeks or months to complete an installation process. Start helping people with mobility issues more easily today.

  • Portability

The Helix folds small enough to fit in most trunks and vehicles, meaning you can take it wherever you need to go.

  • Cost

This is a much more affordable (and adaptable) alternative to installable stairlifts and is fraction of the price of other detached trackless stairlifts.
